Needed a replacement for my Sony WH-1000XM4s after I accidentally fried all their controls by dumping a glass of lemonade on them. Having demonstrated to myself that I can’t be trusted with something so pricey and delicate, this time I went for the Anker Space One Pro Wireless Over-Ear headphones—which, while still not water-proof, were at least substantially cheaper.The Space One Pros sound decent, and can sound better with adjustments to the EQ profile. For dedicated music listening I prefer a good stereo system anyway, and I mostly use these cans at work or while traveling, so the fact that out of the box they don’t sound as rich as the Sonys they replaced is not a deal killer.Another consideration for these cans is noise cancellation. While adequate in this regard, the Space One Pros do let through some speech and low-frequency noise. They’re good at reducing distractions but won’t let you pretend that you exist alone in the world. If that’s your use case you might want to look elsewhere.In terms of other features, what I appreciate most about the Space One Pros is something they don’t have: it’s so nice not to have to battle touch controls. The Space One Pros have tactile control buttons that are easy to find, and the absence of touch controls means they don’t constantly blast beeps and boops into the ears anytime the ear cups brush up against something. It’s too bad they can’t automatically pause playback when lifted away from the ears or removed from the head, but that’s what the play/pause button is for.Comfort-wise, the Space One Pros are good; they don’t clamp too hard and their headband is cushy. This makes them easy to wear for extended listening sessions, which can go on as long as one could want thanks to their very good battery life.One other thing worth mention about these cans is their carrying case, which is just a plasticized fabric bag with a drawstring. I’d rather they didn’t come with any case than have to throw away this bag once the plastic inevitably delaminates. Cheers to Anker for also including a 3.5mm m/m audio plug alongside the (rather short) USBA to C charging cable, though! Devices with an audio jack seem to be a dying breed these days, which is a shame because you don’t have to be an audiophile (I’m not) to notice the drawbacks of bluetooth audio.

I'm extremely impressed by these. First of all, I had a cheaper model of SoundCore Overear Headphones before this and they really disappointed me, the noise cancelling would not stay on and they glitched out all the time. These One Pro models are incredible, zero issues. The regular mode has the right amount of hearing the outside world and the noise cancelling is truly impressive for the price point. I have had these almost a full year and still no issues, I will be buying another pair of these soon, even though I'm positive my current ones will not break. I don't ever drop them, but the materials are holding up very well and it's hard to tell these are a year old.My one and only complaint is that there's no enough padding in the headband, so it starts to hurt my head after a long time wearing them, like four or five hours in a row. To solve this, I used gaffer's tape and a rag to add more padding along the upper piece. Solving this would result in a perfect pair of noise-cancelling budget headphones.These things are really impressive for the money.

Fitment and overall feel of the product on the head is amazing, Noise Cancelling is working as expected in comparison to my Sony's MX3. its weight is what surprised me, its quite light and comfortable, feels solid and even the ear cushions are of quality materials, feels good to the touch and they seal very well around the ear. well see how well they can hold trough out the next few months, but so far they look like they will last for a long time if taken care properly with regular cleaning. remember that our skin and hair oils, even sweat can degrade plastics over time.

So far mu only gripe with this set is that they don't stay in the same position on my head, I cut grass with them and I'm happy with their noise canceling performance. I am on call for HVAC so im able to pair with my personal android as well as my apple work phone at the same time so listening to music from my personal phone will get paused if my work phone gets a call. That feature alone is amazing in comparison to my Beats at a higher price without this feature.
